Specialized training on AI and diplomacy, ethics and professional applications targeted Permanent Missions, UN staff and diplomatic academies. The launch of the “AI | IA Bulletin” established a reliable platform for informed decisionmaking in international affairs.

Preparing Diplomats and Delegates for High-level UN Engagement and Leadership
In partnership with the Government of Italy and the Med-Or Foundation, UNITAR supported Somalia’s preparations for its 2025–2026 term on the UN Security Council. Through intensive training in resolution drafting, multilateral negotiation and Security Council procedures, Somali diplomats gained the skills and insights needed to assume their future role with impact and confidence.

The Institute convened global thought leaders at the fourth Doha edition of World Negotiation Day. In partnership with ADN Group, Doha and the Doha Forum, the event provided a high-level forum to discuss the role of negotiation in today’s world, offering perspectives on emerging challenges and opportunities, culminating in the Doha Best Negotiator of the Year Award.

Expanding Global Diplomatic Education
Through partnerships with top universities, UNITAR delivered 29 Master’s, Diploma’s, and Certificate programmes in diplomacy and international law, benefiting professionals across sectors. The launch of a new M.A. in Digital International Relations & Diplomacy and the expansion of Immersion Programmes to Paris, Washington, D.C. and Vienna reflect the Institute’s commitment to building 21st-century diplomatic competencies.
